The North West Coast Learning              Collaborative started life in 2016.                        The Cheshire End of Life Partnership,                    Marie Curie Palliative Care Institute,

Liverpool & Terence Burgess Education          Centre at Queenscourt, Southport joined      forces to bid for Multiprofessional              Education & Training (MPET) monies. Success       resulted in the design, development & delivery of an Educator Development Programme for Palliative Care Professionals in Cheshire & Merseyside Palliative & End of Life Care Network.


In 2017 a further opportunity to bid for MPET funding to design, develop & deliver an Advance Care Planning Package for the North West arose. St Catherine’s, Preston; St John’s, Lancaster & St Mary’s, Ulverston joined the collaborative for  this initiative.
